Irene Haire, M.C.
Irene Haire has worked as a therapist and group
facilitator since 2002. Irene has been a pharmacist since 1978. She did
her practicum experience at the Support Network, CASA and two Schools
within Edmonton. Prior to that, she worked at the Sexual Assault Centre
(SACE) on the crisis phone line for two years and co-facilitated a
bereavement group at the Support Network. As a pharmacist Irene
conducted ongoing educational life skills to her clients, including
strategies for quitting smoking and the stages of change. Her experience
with Canadian Mental Health included weekly lifestyle enhancement group
where she presented educational topics related to obtaining better
health.
As well, Irene specializes in Art Therapy with adults,
adolescents, and children; working with individuals, couples and
facilitating groups. Recently Irene trained in “Focusing” a body-centred
therapy. She also has EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and
Reprocessing) Level I and Level II training. Irene graduated with a Masters in Counselling with an
Art Therapy specialization in 2010 and is currently a Registered
Provisional Psychologist.
